Liubomyr Senyshyn
Violin Director, Artistic Director
Biography:
Originally from Ukraine, Liubomyr Senyshyn is a Boston-based violinist with an extensive career as a performer and educator. Before moving to the United States, he spent three years as a member of the K&K Philharmoniker, an Austrian-Ukrainian orchestra that toured throughout Europe. During his time with K&K, he performed over 120 concerts per year in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berliner Philharmonie, Wiener Musikverein, and Oslo Opera House.

Mr. Senyshyn is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Attacca School of Music in Belmont, MA. He is also a faculty member at the Cremona International Music Academy in Cremona, Italy. His students have won top prizes at the Miclot International Music Competition, Sempre Music Competition, and Cremona International Music Competition in Italy. As an educator, his vision is to build a strong foundation in his students, equipping them with the skills necessary to pursue music at the highest level.

Mr. Senyshyn has previously served as the Orchestra Director at Star Academy for in Wellesley and Watertown, MA (founding their orchestra program and curriculum) and has conducted at the Cremona International Music Academy. In addition to teaching, he is an avid performer as a chamber musician, orchestral player, and soloist. He has performed with various chamber music ensembles and was a co-founder of the Boston-based Glenside Quartet and the clarinet trio Temper Trio.

Liubomyr holds a Master of Music from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy and earned both a Graduate Performance Diploma and an Artist Diploma from the Longy School of Music at Bard College in Cambridge, MA, studying under Mark Lakirovich. He was the winner of the 2017 Honors Competition at Longy School of Music and a finalist in the Concerto Competition. He has also been a laureate of numerous international competitions and festivals in the United States, Europe, and Ukraine.
