Dalcroze/Eurhythmics

Group Dalcroze/Eurythmics

Ages 3-5

 

Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a joyful and engaging way for young children (ages 3-5) to explore music through movement, rhythm, and play. In this class, students develop foundational musical skills—such as beat, rhythm, pitch, and dynamics—by using their whole bodies, making music a multisensory experience. â€‹

What To Expect: 
  • Develop an intuitive understanding of sounds, tones, and rhythms through active listening and body movement.

  • Explore a variety of elementary instruments, including xylophones, drums, and egg shakers.

  • Encourage imagination and creativity by engaging with musical stories and fairy tales.

  • Foster rhythmic skills through body percussion and playing rhythmic instruments.

  • Encourage social interaction and musical collaboration through group activities.

  • Lay a strong foundation for future musical pathways.

 

Program Overview: 
  • Intended as a Full Academic Year Course - students will be automatically re-enrolled for the Spring to complete the class, unless given notice of withdrawal or transfer to private lessons.

  • Class size: Up to five students per group to ensure chance for personal attention to each student 

  • Class materials provided - nothing specific is require from students to bring to class

Schedule:​

  • 8 Class Sessions of Weekly 40 Minute Group Class - Fall (10/4-12/6) Spring (3/7-5/2)

  • Saturday Mornings - 9:00-9:40am, 9:45-10:25am

Tuition:

  • $250 per 8 class session (includes tuition and class materials) + $15 Annual Registration Fee ​

Requirements:

  • This is a child only participants class, and not a parent & child participation class

  • For safety, children should enter the classroom without shoes; soft-soled dance shoes or ballet slippers are encouraged.
