About the Program

Symphony Summer is a one-week, half-day music camp, offered during two separate weeks in the summer. The program brings students together for ensemble playing, instrument exploration, and creative music-making in a supportive, engaging environment, and families may enroll in one week or both.

Students are placed into one of two levels based on age, experience, and readiness: Prelude, for beginner and early elementary students, and Encore, for students with prior music experience who are ready for deeper musical study and ensemble work.

Whether your child is new to music or continuing their musical journey, Symphony Summer offers a thoughtful and inspiring summer experience.

PRELUDE - Beginner & Early Elementary

Best for Students Ages 6-9 with Little Prior Music Experience or Who Enjoy Movement Based Activities

9:00am-2:00pm

Instruments provided

$560 + $15 registration 


A joyful, hands-on or exploration of music and instruments for young learners. Students explore music through singing, rhythm, movement, and instrument discovery in a supportive engaging environment.



Prelude Daily Schedule

  • 9:00–9:15 — Drop-Off Window (supervised arrival)

  • 9:15–9:45 — Morning Group Music Activity & Rhythm Training

  • 9:45–10:30 — Instrument Discovery Group Class 1 (Instrument TBD) 

  • 10:30–10:45 — Snack Break

  • 10:45–11:30 — Instrument Discovery Group Class 2 (Instrument TBD)

  • 11:30–12:15 — Dalcroze Eurhythmics

  • 12:15–1:15 — Lunch & Recess (All Camp Together)

  • 1:15–2:00 — Improvisation & Creative Music Making

  • 2:00–2:15 — Pick-Up Window



ENCORE - Intermediate and Up

Best for Students Ages 9-13 or with several years of prior music lessons and experience

9:00am-3:00pm 

Students bring own instruments (other than piano)

$675 + $15 registration 


Encore is designed for students with previous music experience who are ready to collaborate with others, explore improvisation on their instrument, and broaden their knowledge with music theory and history.

  • 10:00–10:45 — Chamber Music / Piano Ensemble

  • 10:45–11:00 — Snack Break

  • 11:00–11:45 — Music Theory & Music History

  • 11:45–12:15 — Individual Practice

  • 12:15–1:15 — Lunch & Recess (All Camp Together)

  • 1:15–2:00 — Group Music Activities

  • 2:00–3:00 — Improvisation & Composition Class

  • 3:00-3:15 — Pick-Up Window



Important Notice Regarding Refunds: 

Withdrawals made before May 15, 2026 are eligible for a 50% tuition refund.

Withdrawals made on or after May 15, 2026 are not eligible for a tuition refund, regardless of which week the student is registered for.

All registration fees are non-refundable
